Police is also an important part of the administration. Prevention, investigation and detection of crime as also maintenance of law & order are the important functions of police.At district Churu, Superindentent of Police (SP) is the incharge, he works under home ministry.District is divided into 4 Sub-divisions and Incharge of the Sub-division is an officer of the rank of the Deputy Superintendent of Police(RPS).At district headquarter an Additional Superindentent of Police(Senior RPS) helps the SP.There are 16 police stations and 19 police chowkies in the disttrict.Each police station is headed by SHO.
